What cookies are

How we use cookies

We use cookies in these CookieYes categories:

  • Necessary — required for the site and the consent banner to work. These do not need your consent.
  • Functional — Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact, callback and mortgage calculator forms from spam and abuse.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are only set if you accept Analytics in the CookieYes banner.

We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If that changes, they will appear in CookieYes under Advertisement and will only run after you consent.

When you first visit, CookieYes shows a banner so you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose categories. CookieYes stores that choice so we can respect it on later visits, and keeps a consent record.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the CookieYes “Cookie Settings” control on the site (often a floating button or a Cookie Settings link). Rejecting Analytics does not stop you using the site. Rejecting Functional cookies means reCAPTCHA may not load, and our forms may not submit.

These cookies are set by CookieYes to remember your banner choices. They do not profile you for advertising.

  • cookieyes-consent — 1 year — stores your consent preferences and a consent ID.
  • cookieyesID — 1 year — unique identifier used with the consent log (older CookieYes versions).
  • cky-consent — 1 year — remembers your consent settings for later visits.
  • cky-action — 1 year — remembers the action you took on the banner.

Functional cookies (Google reCAPTCHA)

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on this site to reduce automated spam on forms. Google may set cookies or use local storage on google.com / recaptcha.net. reCAPTCHA is loaded as a Functional service in CookieYes, so it should run only after you accept Functional cookies (or Accept all).

Google’s use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.

  • _GRECAPTCHA — typically 6 months — set by Google to distinguish people from bots.
  • rc::a — persistent (local storage) — used by reCAPTCHA for risk analysis.
  • rc::b and rc::c — session (local storage) — used by reCAPTCHA for risk analysis.
  • NID — typically 6 months — may be set by Google in connection with reCAPTCHA or other Google services.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated information about visits, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not use Analytics to make decisions about your insurance or mortgage application.

Google Analytics cookies are only set if you accept the Analytics category in CookieYes.

  • _ga — up to 13 months — distinguishes visitors for Google Analytics.
  • _ga_* — up to 13 months — persists the Analytics session/campaign state for the GA4 measurement ID.
  • _gid — 24 hours — may be set by some Google Analytics configurations to distinguish visitors.

How to control cookies
